The extension loads as a side panel so it stays visible while you browse job boards or take a video interview in the same browser window.
Get the latest extension/ folder from the project. This folder contains manifest.json, sidepanel.html, and all supporting files. Save it somewhere permanent on your computer — Chrome loads it directly from this location.
In Chrome, click the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner, then go to Extensions → Manage Extensions. You can also paste this directly into your address bar:
In the top-right corner of the Extensions page, toggle on Developer mode. This allows you to load unpacked extensions that haven't been submitted to the Chrome Web Store yet.
Click Load unpacked (top-left button that appears after enabling Developer mode). In the file picker, navigate to and select the extension/ folder. Click Select Folder.
Click the puzzle-piece icon 🧩 in Chrome's toolbar, find EasyJobsAI, and click the pin icon to keep it visible. You'll now see the EasyJobsAI icon in your toolbar at all times.
Click the EasyJobsAI icon in your toolbar. The side panel will open on the right side of your browser window. It stays open as you switch tabs — perfect for use during video interviews or while browsing job boards.
On your phone or tablet, you can add EasyJobsAI to your home screen as a Progressive Web App — it works just like a native app, with no App Store required.
On your iPhone or Android device, open Safari (iOS) or Chrome (Android) and navigate to:
On iPhone/iPad: Tap the Share icon (the box with an arrow pointing up) at the bottom of Safari's address bar.
On Android: Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) in Chrome's top-right corner.
iOS: Scroll down in the share sheet and tap "Add to Home Screen".
Android: Tap "Add to Home Screen" or "Install App" from the menu.
A dialog will show the app name "EasyJobsAI". Tap Add (iOS) or Install (Android) to confirm. The icon will appear on your home screen.
Tap the EasyJobsAI icon on your home screen to open the app. On mobile, the full interview coach interface is available — use it to prep answers before an interview, review your tailored resume, or practice common questions.
Follow these steps in order the first time. After setup, you only need to do steps 3 and 4 for each interview.
Click the Profile tab in the side panel. Either paste your resume text directly into the text area, or click Upload PDF to extract it automatically from a PDF file.
Find the job posting on LinkedIn, Indeed, or any job board. Copy the full job description and paste it into the Job Description field in the Profile tab.
During your interview, switch to the Chat tab. Type (or use the microphone to speak) the question the interviewer just asked. Hit send and get an instant, structured answer.
Go to the Resume tab to generate an ATS-optimized version of your resume specifically matched to the job description you saved.
